Volume 1-III in this second, revised and expanded edition, has been amended and updated with further data discovered in the German Federal Military Archives in Freiburg/Breisgau. The Army Paket units have been amended, and missing ones added. Many other pages have also been amended and corrected, encompassing order of battle addtions as well as some new units within the existing pages. New pages encompass the 501st Army Signal Regiment, the Motor Transport Regiments, and the Fortress Pillau. The Border Guards – besides having been further detailed – now include those commands not mobilized in August 1939, namely the 4th, 10th, and 20th Border Command Sectors. |
