[1] One source indicates that these weapons were hybrid 70mm/37mm guns, an Austrian
infantry howitzer from the First World War (1908 model) which had been converted
post-war to accept interchangeable barrels, the original 70mm being capable of being
removed and replaced by a 37mm antitank gun on the same carriage, reportedly within
a matter of minutes! The performance of this 37mm was inferior to that of the
3,7cm Pak 36 (penetrating 29mm of armor at 500 yards, compared to about 38mm for
the German 37mm).
