[3] The 25. Panzerdivision had been activated on 25.02.1942 in Norway, and was still forming.
[4] This was the 90. leichte Afrika-Division. Then on 01.04.42 redesignated as as 90. leichte Infanterie-Division, and finally as 90. Africa-Division on 26.07.42. It was organizationally different from the Panzer divisions. Initially not motorized, the regiments were converted to the Schnelle Truppe organizations, although the authorized motor vehicles were on an ad-hoc basis, rarely conforming to standard KStN in number or type of vehicles. Standard Schnelle Truppen Panzer division units — such as an artillery regiment, an antitank battalion, a tank battalion, or service units — were not raised until 01.08.1942 in Germany. Supply units were never raised, the division being dependent on superior headquarters for these services.
