Note:
The word autotrasportabile is difficult to translate. The word that comes to mind for this strange Italian unit is 'truck-moveable', as 'truck-borne' is not exactly right. The 'Metropolitan' (i.e. Italian, as opposed to North African) version of these divisions were a mixture of motorized, truck-borne, and animal transported units. The motorized units were the artillery regiments, services and specialist troops, whereas the infantry regiments moved by a mixture of animal packed, animal towed and truck borne transport. The Autotrasportabile Divisions did not have all their trucks directly allotted to them, rather, some of them were to be provided by the Corps Autogrupi. These divisions did not have Blackshirt (CCNN) Legions attached.
