Netherlands East Indies Naval Forces (Zeemacht Nederlands-Indië).
Upon mobilitatzion, all naval forces in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI) were subordinated
to the Officer Commanding, Naval Forces of the NEI. In peacetime, these forces had
consisted of two individual and separate parts, namely the Royal Netherlands Navy,
represented by its East Indies Squadron, and the Netherlands East Indies Colonial
Government, with its Maritime Authority, the Dienst der Scheepvaart.
